Cameron Carter-Vickers could be available to loan from Tottenham Hotspur again this summer after being given a new contract, according to the Sun.

The club has announced that Carter-Vickers has extended his stay in North London until 2021, with manager Mauricio Pochettino a huge fan of the defender.

In fact the 20-year-old could even be given a chance by Pochettino in the first team, especially if Toby Alderweireld leaves, although a temporary spell away from Spurs still seems the most likely outcome.

Where could he go?

Carter-Vickers is no stranger to being a loanee, having played for Sheffield United and Ipswich Town over the past season, making 35 appearances in total for the two Championship sides.

Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is seen during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Chelsea at St. James Park on May 13, 2018 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Therefore a step up to the Premier League could be in order and perhaps Newcastle United should be keeping an eye on the situation, with the Chronicle reporting Rafa Benitez wants support at centre-back.

Finances are limited for Benitez at St James’ Park currently and the Spaniard had to rely on loan signings last term, with Mikel Merino, Kenedy and Martin Dubravka all coming in and impressing.
