Danny Rose would be perfect for Newcastle after reportedly being made available for loan by Spurs – yet they can do nothing about it.

Rose has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs since criticising the club’s transfer policy and wage structure in 2017, with Ben Davies now considered first choice at left-back.
Perfect for Newcastle
The Chronicle reports that Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez wants three new signings before the transfer window closes, prioritising the addition of a central defender and left-back and also targeting a number ten if possible.
With Benitez’s budget so low at St James’ Park, the news that someone like Rose could be acquired on loan would usually have been seen as a huge positive.
Yet unfortunately, because of those same financial constraints the Magpies have already had to utilise the loan market this window, landing Kenedy from Chelsea and Salomon Rondon from West Bromwich Albion on temporary deals.

Premier League rules stipulate that clubs in the top flight can only sign four loanees from other English sides during the season and only two at the same time.
It means that even if Newcastle wanted to make a move for Rose, they have their hands tied, which surely must only build the frustration that Benitez and the fans already feel about how owner Mike Ashley is running things.
