Former Arsenal player Aaron Ramsey has emerged as a shock transfer target of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur over the past nine months or so.

It was reported last July that Spurs were genuinely keen on signing the Juventus midfielder, who moved to Turin in 2019 after his contract at the Emirates Stadium expired.

Ramsey spent 11 years as an Arsenal player and helped the Gunners to three FA Cup titles, scoring the winner in two finals.

He is certainly a legend on the red side of the North London divide, but not for long if he joins Jose Mourinho’s side – and speculation is increasing.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham, along with Liverpool and Everton, have made contact with the Italian giants in regards to bringing the Wales international back to England.

The 30-year-old has struggled for regular football under Andrea Pirlo this season and a summer exit certainly makes sense.

Bu whether or not Ramsey – who earns £400,000 per week in Turin – would willingly sever his ties at Arsenal by joining the Lilywhites remains to be seen.
