Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Youri Tielemans.

Tottenham Hotspur are undoubtedly in the market for a new midfielder in January, with a replacement for Mousa Dembele certainly needed amid questions over his future.
Dembele is out of contract at the end of the season, and looks set to leave as the injury problems pile up for him, and his Spurs replacement may just be one of his international team-mates.
Monaco’s Youri Tielemans has been regarded as one of Europe’s top talents since his time with Anderlecht, and the Daily Mail report that Tottenham showed ‘serious interest’ in signing Tielemans over the summer.
Now, the Daily Star report that Monaco are willing to cash in on Tielemans for just £25million, and it may just be the deal Spurs have been dreaming of after a difficult, signing-less summer transfer window.
Tielemans is still just 21 but has more than 200 first-team appearances to his name as well as 14 Belgium caps, already having huge experience even in Europe, which should be key for Spurs.
Tielemans fits the profile of what Spurs want, in terms of having youth and huge potential, whilst the £25million fee should fit perfectly into Daniel Levy’s spending plans in 2019.

With a great passing range, long-range shooting and the ability to go forward in midfield, Tielemans could be a fine Dembele successor, whilst his record of 18 goals in the 2016-17 season may just suggest that he can add the goals that Dembele regularly struggled to.
Manchester United may also be keen, but with Mauricio Pochettino hugely interested in Tielemans over the summer and Monaco struggling, now is the time for Spurs to strike a perfect move – and do it all without breaking the bank.
