Tottenham Hotspur beat APOEL Nicosia 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Moussa Sissoko of Tottenham Hotspur in action against APOEL
Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to praise midfielder Moussa Sissoko after his performance against APOEL Nicosia.
Spurs travelled to Cyprus in search of another win in the Champions League, having won their first group stage game with Borussia Dortmund 3-1 just a fortnight ago.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men saw off APOEL with a 3-0 win, as Harry Kane opened the scoring in the first half with a calm left-footed finish having been played through on goal.

Kane added a second after the break, sweeping home with his right foot from the edge of the box, and he completed his hat-trick with a header from Kieran Trippier’s cross.
An injury-hit Spurs side, missing the likes of Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela as well as the suspended Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli, managed to come through a tricky away tie with an unconvincing yet winning display.
One of the players to take his chance with so many players out of action was midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who was used alongside Son Heung-min behind Kane in the Spurs attack.

The Frenchman was heavily criticised last season having made little impact for Spurs following his move from Newcastle United, but having impressed against West Ham Ham as well as APOEL, this is the best spell of Sissoko’s career.
After the final whistle against APOEL, Spurs legend Graham Roberts took to Twitter to praise Sissoko, suggesting that he was ‘very happy’ with his display, as he is putting in the hard work to save his Spurs career.
