The Tottenham Hotspur defender described how physically demanding is was to play at Wembley.
Spurs youngster Kyle Walker-Peters spoke to the club’s official website following his appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s side against Juventus on Saturday, and highlighted how difficult it will be for the Tottenham players to adjust to the size of the pitch at Wembley this season.
The 20-year-old right-back is highly rated in north London, and he could very well be on the verge of a huge opportunity, with Kieran Tripper’s injury set to rule him out of the Lilywhites’ Premier League opener away at Newcastle United.

Walker-Peters was understandably ecstatic after playing 50 minutes against the Italian champions at the weekend, but he did offer words of caution regarding the pitch dimensions at their temporary home, when speaking exclusively to TottenhamHotspur.com:
“It’s incredible, something I’ll never forget. I enjoyed it a lot. It’s a bit of a challenge, a lot of running but overall I’m happy and delighted to gain that experience. Of course, the England national team plays most of their games here and it’s good to get this experience so early in my career.”
Spurs were so strong at White Hart Lane last season, winning 17 and drawing two of their 19 home games, and moving to the England national team’s home will obviously present problems.
And the quicker that Tottenham can become accustomed to playing there the better, if they are to enjoy a successful campaign both home and abroad.
