Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Manchester United earlier in the day saw the Gunners move into the fourth and final Champions League qualification spot.
Spurs had to win away to Brentford in order to gazump their North London rivals.
However, Antonio Conte’s outfit could only muster a 0-0 draw.
Arsenal are now two points ahead of Tottenham with six Premier League outings to play – and Conte was seemingly disgusted at half time.
According to Alasdair Gold, who exclusively covers Spurs for Football London, the Italian manager ‘barely said a word’ to his troops in the dressing room after the game.
Deafening
If true, Conte’s silence would’ve been deafening.
Sometimes the less you say, the more it conveys how disappointed you are and by barely speaking to his Tottenham players, well they would’ve got the message loud and clear.
The Bees are a good outfit, but this is a fixture Tottenham really should be winning if they’re serious about getting back into the Champions League.
