The Spurs boss continues to be linked with United but ESPN pundit Hislop explains why the Red Devils should leave him alone.

Football is an industry full of rumours and speculation, and one that won’t go away, much to the chagrin of the Tottenham Hotspur fanbase, revolves around manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Since taking over at the North London club, the Argentine has transformed the Lilywhites into genuine Premier League title contenders and regular Champions League qualifiers.
Pochettino’s success means almost never-ending rumours relating to potentially moving clubs, and one such outfit he remains linked with is Manchester United.
Having jettisoned Jose Mourinho earlier in the season, the Red Devils have found a new lease of life under club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with just two games under his tenure so far that haven’t been won (Sky Sports).
The Norwegian is currently United’s interim manager until the end of the season ‘on loan’ from Molde and, although there has been speculation about his own future at Old Trafford beyond the summer (The Sun), the Pochettino link persists (Daily Star).
That said, one pundit thinks the Red Devils should stick with Solskjaer rather than twist with Pochettino, stating that what the ‘baby-faced assassin’ is doing at the club, the Spurs boss may not necessarily be able to replicate.

In conversation with ESPN, pundit and former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop said: “Even if Pochettino is available I would still pick Solskjaer… right now you know what you are getting with Solskjaer. As good as Pochettino has been for Spurs, there is no guarantee that he can replicate what Solskjaer is doing.”
Such comments should be reassuring for the Tottenham fanbase, as the Poch to United rumour has been ongoing for far too long, and as the season goes on, maybe more voices will join Hislop in urging the Red Devils to stick with Solskjaer and hopefully finally kill off the ongoing saga.
