The Tottenham ace seems supremely confident of getting back to his best.
Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane has told The Guardian that he will not be long finding his goalscoring touch once again.
Kane has gone 11 games for club and country without finding the net in a dismal run of form for the 23-year-old.
With that being said, the England marksman did endure a nine-match barren spell for Tottenham at the beginning of last season, and yet still won the Premier League’s Golden Boot by netting 25 times.
Consequently, Kane is not overly worried about his dry spell and has insisted that he is fully confident about scaling lofty heights once again this season.
“There was a lot of talk last year about me not scoring and I ended up proving a lot of people wrong,” he said to The Guardian.
“People will talk this year as well. It’s what they’re doing now. But I am confident in my ability. I know that, if I continue doing what I’m doing, the goals will come.”
Kane had a dismal Euro 2016 campaign with England, but few would back against him silencing his critics once again.
This time, though, there is perhaps more pressure to rediscover his best form.
Spurs brought in Vincent Janssen as a back-up option for Kane; pressure he did not really have last term, and the Dutch striker, albeit yet to score, has already given a good account of himself up front.
Kane is surely the best long-term option, having netted over 60 goals in all competitions during the past two seasons, but he will need to start finding the net again.
