Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to claim that he’s more and more convinced that Harry Kane will become the greatest striker in the club’s history.

Spurs beat Everton 3-2 at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon to make it nine home league wins in a row, with striker Kane again playing a massive part in the win.

Kane smashed home an unstoppable long-range strike to put Tottenham 1-0 up in the first half, and he capitalised on some slack defending to slide home a second after the break.

Romelu Lukaku threatened to bring Everton back into the game as he made it 2-1, before Dele Alli and Enner Valencia exchanged late goals in an action-packed game.

Kane stole the show again, and his two goals mean it’s now 12 goals in his last ten competitive games for Spurs, taking his goal tally for the season in all competitions to 24.

Kane now leads the scoring charts in the Premier League with 19 this season, and he has received considerable praise from club legend Graham Roberts following Sunday’s final whistle.

Roberts took to Twitter to claim that he’s increasingly convinced that Kane will go down as Tottenham’s greatest striker in history after another exceptional goalscoring display.

Kane isn’t without competition; the likes of Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Smith, Martin Chivers, Cliff Jones and even players such as Jermain Defoe or Jurgen Klinsmann could stake a claim for that accolade, but Roberts thinks Kane is on his way to being Tottenham’s best ever striker.

Spurs fans unsurprisingly took to Twitter to respond to Roberts, with some claiming that Roberts’ claim was ‘huge’, as Greaves is the club’s greatest striker ever – but some think Kane could one day challenge him for that position.
