Tottenham Hotspur have been given a glimmer of hope in their pursuit of Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
Tosin Adarabioyo may miss out on a move to Monaco with the deal now considered to be nearing collapse.
That is according to Foot Mercato reporter Santi Aouna, who claims that Adarabioyo to Monaco is now ‘almost dead’.
It’s stated Fulham now haven’t even responded to Monaco for ‘several days’ with a deal now in danger of falling apart.
Aouna claims that Fulham are going quiet on Monaco because they really want to sell Adarabioyo to Tottenham this summer.
This comes just days after RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins suggested that Fulham and Marco Silva wanted Adarabioyo to join Spurs.
The reasoning was that Fulham boss Silva wants to bring in Tottenham defender Eric Dier as part of the deal.
Adarabioyo’s first choice has been Monaco all along and Aouna suggests that the defender ‘only wants’ Monaco as his next club.
That means that Tottenham may still miss out with Aouna adding that Adarabioyo may now leave Fulham for nothing next summer.
Adarabioyo is inside the final year of his contract at Fulham and may simply choose to walk away in a year’s time.

Tottenham must now push to try and convince Tosin Adarabioyo
Fulham seemingly shutting down talks with Monaco will be frustrating for Adarabioyo but may just give a window of opportunity for Tottenham.
Spurs will be well aware that Adarabioyo wanted Monaco and a move to North London wasn’t his priority.
Now is the time for Tottenham to really make their push and attempt to convince Adarabioyo that this is actually the right move.
Adarabioyo seems to have concerns about his playing time at Tottenham with the presence of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven a worry.

Yet with Davinson Sanchez and the aforementioned Dier seemingly available, Adarabioyo would be right in contention for first-team minutes at Spurs.
It’s a long season and Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has already shown that he is willing to rotate.
Adarabioyo should be attracted by the challenge at Tottenham and he should become a key priority for Spurs.
A homegrown, Premier League-ready defender inside the final year of his contract and with his club hoping to sell him to Tottenham?
This seems ideal for Spurs and the chance is now there for Tottenham to go all out for Adarabioyo’s services.
