Speaking on the Sky Sports Football Podcast, Jamie Redknapp has been discussing Tottenham and their style of play as of late.
Spurs under Antonio Conte have been, well, rather uninspiring to say the least.
They’ve gotten into the habit of starting slowly in games, and as Rio Ferdinand said earlier this week, they’re becoming something of a set-piece team.
To put it bluntly, Spurs haven’t been fun to watch as of late, and Redknapp has acknowledged that in perhaps the most damning way possible.
Indeed, the pundit says that Tottenham fans must be wishing that they played more like Arsenal at the moment as the Gunners are currently topping the table while playing some beautiful football.

Redknapp says Spurs fans would like to be more like Arsenal.
“You have to take into context that their biggest rivals, Arsenal, are playing lovely football. They’re playing football that is the closest thing to Man City. Those two are playing the best football in the league. They’re playing football that I think Spurs fans would like their team to play. Unfortunately, that’s not Antonio Conte’s style, so that will be something that they
will be disgruntled with the Spurs fans,” Redknapp said.

As much as Tottenham fans will hate to hear it and probably refuse to admit it, they really wouldn’t mind swapping places with Arsenal right now.
Spurs have been clinging onto a top four spot in recent weeks with a string of poor results and late comebacks, while Arsenal are flying-high as title contenders playing convincing and beautiful football.
Something special seems to be brewing at Arsenal, while at Spurs, it feels very much as though we’re seeing a re-run of the late Jose Mourinho era.
