Spurs have been chasing Ndombele all summer but the latest twist has terrified some Tottenham fans.

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their opinions on the report claiming that Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign Tanguy Ndombele.

According to The Express, the French Ligue 1 champions have registered their interest in the Lyon midfielder, who has been on the radar of Spurs this summer and is thought to be their number one target.

The report goes on to say that Tottenham have been engaged in talks with Ndombele’s club but, having already had a £40million bid rejected, they are not willing to go to Lyon’s asking price of £71million.

Although it is believed that Spurs are prepared to break their own transfer record – set in the purchase of Davinson Sanchez – this reported twist, which features one of the richest clubs in the world (The National), has rattled some Lilywhites fans.

Here is some of the reaction on the social media platform:

Ndombele, 22, has made 49 appearances for Lyon this season, scoring three goals and registering eight assists, is a four times capped France international, having made his debut last season, and is contracted until 2023, according to Transfermarkt.
