Spurs are the first Premier League team not to sign players for two consecutive transfer windows.
The January transfer window is now a memory and fans up and down the country will be feeling vastly different emotions.
Some clubs have strengthened their ranks considerably and their supporters will be pleased and hoping to kick on as the season begins edging into the business end.
Others, however, have had mininal incomings and in some cases, none at all – and in the case of Tottenham Hotspur, they have now gone two transfer windows without signing anybody.
It has now been officially more than a year since Spurs brought in a player, with Lucas Moura having joined from Paris Saint-Germain on January 31, 2018, according to Sky Sports News.
Frustration and despair have morphed into gallows humour for a number of Tottenham fans, who have decided they might as well have a laugh about the whole thing.
As the window shut, Sky Sports News acknowledged on Twitter the Lilywhites’ “new record” in becoming the first Premier League side not to make any signings for two consecutive windows:
