A number of Tottenham fans have taken to social media to respond to Kyle Walker-Peters’ tweet ahead of the second-leg of Spurs’s Champions League last 16 tie with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men put one foot in the quarter-final of the competition with a stunning second-half performance at Wembley last month that leaves them with a 3-0 lead on aggregate.

Given the quality of the opposition however, Spurs will know how important it is that they do not allow themselves to believe that the tie is finished. An early goal for the home side in the Westfalenstadion will give Dortmund a huge boost and ask a lot of questions of Spurs, especially as their more recent results have been underwhelming.

One player who appears to stand a very good chance of being involved in Germany is Walker-Peters. With Kieran Trippier not travelling with the squad, the youngster must be in contention to feature. He is no stranger to high-profile European games, having started the 1-1 draw with Barcelona back in December.

And it seems that many of the supporters want to see the 21-year-old start against Dortmund tonight. Serge Aurier was exceptional during the first-leg, but it appears that many are backing Walker-Peters to do the job.

The full-back sent out a message on Twitter which clearly highlights that Spurs have no plans to take their first-leg lead for granted, and he received a number of responses from the supporters who will be hoping to see the club send out another statement to the rest of Europe.
