Transfer deadline day is upon us, or as some Spurs fans on Twitter are calling it, Thursday.

Transfer deadline day is upon us, a whirlwind of activity in the football world, with reporters stationed at clubs up and down the country and seemingly trivial activities, such as people getting in and out of cars, being heavily scrutinised.
But an increasingly high number of Tottenham Hotspur fans haven’t been caught up in the frenzy – and frankly, who can blame them? It has literally been a year since Spurs signed a player, Lucas Moura coming from Paris Saint-Germain on January 31, 2018, according to Sky Sports News.
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is reportedly expected to complete a loan move to Monaco on deadline day but, speaking to Sky Sports News after the 2-1 win over Watford on Wednesday night, Mauricio Pochettino denied any knowledge of the transfer, with Vincent Janssen also likely to join Real Betis.
In terms of incomings, Spurs famously signed nobody last summer and, with the hours of the final day of January ticking away, nobody has arrived at the North London club as of early Thursday morning – and given Pochettino said in his post-match talk “I do not expect that we are going to add to the squad”, it looks very unlikely anyone else will arrive.
