Derby day is upon us in north London and the latest instalment of Tottenham Hotspur versus Arsenal could be one of the most highly anticipated in years.

Spurs are flying high in the Premier League, sitting third in the table, winning their last six matches in a row in all competitions and ending Chelsea’s unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 victory last weekend.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are fifth in the standings and unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League matches since losing against Chelsea back in August, with the players surely eager to give Unai Emery a maiden north London derby win.

In terms of history, Tottenham have won their last seven Premier League London derby matches, but they have also won just one of their last 25 away league games against Arsenal, a 3-2 victory in November 2010 (Opta Stats via Sky Sports).

But with Harry Kane in their ranks, the Spurs contingent will be hoping for some more derby day magic from their talisman, who has scored in six of his seven league appearances against Arsenal – seven goals in total.

The 25-year-old tweeted a picture of himself with the caption “North London Derby. Ready” on Saturday, the day before the crunch clash at the Emirates Stadium.
