Georges-Kevin Nkoudou stunned a number of Tottenham Hotspur fans with a moment of outrageous brilliance in the penalty shootout.
A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the idea of Georges-Kevin Nkoudou staying within Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the coming campaign after his cameo in the International Champions Cup clash with Inter Milan on Sunday.
Nkoudou went into this summer seemingly with little chance of salvaging a future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium having spent the second-half of last season on loan at Monaco in Ligue 1 where he managed to make little impact.
He has featured on a handful of occasions in pre-season however, and got his latest chance to impress with 10 minutes remaining of the weekend’s game against the Serie A side.
The 24-year-old attempted to create some excitement during the remaining minutes of the contest. But it was in the penalty shootout that his most outrageous moment of brilliance made an appearance.
Nkoudou scored a Panenka before Inter eventually came out on top. But that moment appears to have helped leave some Spurs supporters wondering whether he could have a role to play this season.
No fans are getting carried away and assuming anything other than the fact that Nkoudou, if he stays, will be on the very periphery of the squad. But some are suggesting that it may not be a terrible thing if he fails to secure a move away before the transfer window closes.
