Some Tottenham Hotspur fans believe Moussa Sissoko could and should have done a bit better in preventing the goal that lost them the Carabao Cup against Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday.
Aymeric Laporte was the hero for City by heading home from a free kick with only seven minutes to go in London.
Sissoko, a second-half substitute for Tottenham, was the man charged with the task of marking the Manchester City centre-back.
But it was a relatively tame attempt by the fomer Newcastle winger who did not appear to even contest the header, with replays indicating that Sissoko barely jumped.
Here’s how some Lilywhites fans reacted to it:
All things equal, it was a dreadful performance by Tottenham, who mustered just one shot on target.
Yes, it’s gut wrenching to lose a final in the final seven minutes, and even more so if there’s question marks over how you defended the fatal goal.
But being honest, Pep Guardiola’s side were always going to win that game. It was a case of how and it’s just unfortunate that it was in somewhat farcical circumstances.
