Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Ryan Sessegnon, who looks set to be playing Premier League football next season whatever happens.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Ryan Sessegnon’s display in the play-off final after Fulham booked their ticket back to the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa. And while some Spurs supporters were hugely impressed with the teenager’s display, others suggested that his promotion may dash their hopes of a summer deal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men seem to have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old ever since he burst onto the scene at Craven Cottage, and The Telegraph reported in February that they were planning a £35 million bid as the Cottagers held out for around £50 million.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Sessegnon remains a key target for Pochettino, and that may have perhaps tempted many Tottenham fans to hope that Villa were the team to come out on top at Wembley on Saturday. Unfortunately, for those supporters, it was Fulham who were celebrating promotion with Sessegnon playing a crucial role in the victory.
The 18-year-old bagged his eighth assist of the season with a stunning pass through to Tom Cairney, who slid the ball home to give Fulham a 1-0 lead in the first-half that they would not lose.

The assist itself was a moment of brilliance from the winger and reminded Tottenham fans as to why Pochettino seems so keen to bring the youngster to Spurs this summer.
However, several supporters fear that Fulham’s promotion to the top flight may leave Spurs with an uphill battle trying to convince Sessegnon to make the switch this summer.
Here is how some of the Tottenham fans reacted to Sessegnon’s display and Fulham’s promotion…
