Tottenham are being linked with a move for Real Madrid ace Isco.
Isco
Real Madrid playmaker Isco is a top target for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline, according to The Mirror – and fans would love to see him arrive.
Isco, 24, was a target for many of Europe’s top clubs back in the summer of 2013, having hit 12 goals during the 2012-13 season for his hometown club Malaga – and it was Real Madrid who won the race for his signature.
Isco celebrates scoring for Real Madrid
After 11 goals in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu, Isco looked destined to become a star, but Real then swooped to sign James Rodriguez off the back of his superb displays for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup.
That pushed Isco down the pecking order, and with 11 goals in his last two seasons, his productivity has certainly dropped. With the attacking midfielder needing first-team football, there have been suggestions that he could go out on loan before the transfer window closes on Wednesday, with Tottenham Hotspur a possible destination.
Real Madrid’s Isco in action
The Mirror report that Tottenham have devised a plan to take Isco on loan for the season with a view to a permanent move next summer, as manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to make a big signing ahead of the club’s Champions League campaign.
Isco would certainly add some star quality to the Tottenham side, and fans have been reacting on Twitter since the rumours emerged, with supporters certainly excited about the prospect of landing the Spain international.

Many believe that, after a quiet summer at White Hart Lane, Isco is just the kind of player Tottenham need to spearhead their Champions League campaign, and would prefer him to sign than another target, Wilfried Zaha.
Yet, whilst most fans would love to see Isco sign for Spurs – and think he could have a similar impact to Rafael van der Vaart did after his 2010 move from Real Madrid to White Hart Lane – they ultimately don’t think chairman Daniel Levy would sanction a deal, given his reputation as a frugal businessman in the transfer market.
