Tottenham looked close to signing the forward from Fulham earlier in the year, and he is now showing his quality with the Glasgow giants at the highest level.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele celebrates scoring their third goal against Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been mourning the club’s failure to sign striker Moussa Dembele on Twitter, after the now Celtic forward impressed yet again in a big match.
The 20-year-old scored twice against Premier League leaders Manchester City, Tottenham’s opponents at the weekend, to help the Bhoys to a superb 3-3 draw in the Champions League.
Spurs were closely linked to the then Fulham striker in the previous January transfer window, after he had been impressing in the Championship in what was the last year of his contract with the Cottagers.

But a deal for the Frenchman never went through, even though he was said to have had a medical at the club, with the likes of the Independent claiming it may have been related to Fulham’s request for the player to be loaned back to them for the remainder of the season.
Spurs, who had only Harry Kane as a recognised centre forward, would surely have been eager to have back up then and there, and by the time the summer came around, their interest seemed to have moved on to other targets, eventually seeing Eredivisie top scorer and Netherlands international Vincent Janssen make the move to White Hart Lane.
Dembele, with 12 goals in 16 matches already this season, and having scored a hat-trick against Rangers in his first Old Firm match, is well on the way to becoming a star at Celtic Park, and their supporters will be delighted that they managed to bring the attacker to Glasgow.
