The Spurs midfielder is expected to be out until March with a hamstring injury, yet another setback for the club.

As if things couldn’t get any worse for Tottenham Hotspur at present, another of their star players has been officially sidelined with a fairly long-term injury just as the season begins working its way into the business end.
Over the next month, Spurs have crucial games in four competitions – Premier League, Champions League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup – but their squad, which wasn’t bolstered last summer, is beginning to show real signs of wear and tear.
Already Harry Kane is out with ankle ligament damage and isn’t expected to start training until March and Son Heung-min remains away on international duty with South Korea, and now Dele Alli will also be sidelined until March with a hamstring injury, as confirmed by Tottenham’s Twitter page.
The England midfielder sustained the injury late on in Spurs’ 2-1 win over Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday, having earlier scored the equaliser, and will now undergo a period of rehabilitation with the club’s medical staff.

Let’s not forget that, on top of these issues, fellow midfielder Moussa Sissoko is out for two weeks with a groin problem, Brazil forward Lucas Moura has also been sidelined, and Mousa Dembele was sold to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F last week.
Here is how some Lilywhites fans reacted to their club’s latest personnel setback:
Alli himself also sent a Twitter message, saying he aims to do everything in his power to “return as quick as possible”, prompting some more fan reaction:
