Danny Rose made his first appearance of pre-season as Tottenham Hotspur faced Real Madrid in Munich.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react to Danny Rose’s performance during the first-half of their Audi Cup clash with Real Madrid in Munich – and the large majority are adamant that he must not be allowed to go anywhere this summer.
Rose’s future has been a key talking point after he was missing from the squad that travelled to Singapore and Shanghai. The London Evening Standard reports that he had been given time to try and arrange a move away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The report hints that his situation remains somewhat up in the air, but there was an encouraging sign for the Spurs fans who want to see Rose stay put this summer when he was included in the squad that travelled to Munich.
And with Ben Davies injured, Rose was handed a starting spot against Los Blancos in the Allianz Arena and went on to play 45 minutes against Zinedine Zidane’s men.

He certainly impressed the fans with his display. His sharpness and awareness provided no indication that he was making his first appearance of the summer. Rose also caused problems in the final third, and looked up to the challenge when Madrid were on the attack in a half that Spurs dominated.
And his performance has left several fans feeling convinced that Tottenham cannot afford to sell the full-back this summer. He remains one of the best in the world in his position, and the supporters are hoping that the window will shut before another club comes in with a significant bid.
