Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium continues to take shape.

Tottenham Hotspur are back in action again tonight, as they take on PSV Eindhoven in their fourth Champions League group stage game.
There is a lot riding on this game; Spurs lost at Inter Milan and at home to Barcelona, and could only manage a 2-2 draw in Eindhoven against PSV last time out.
It’s also Tottenham’s fourth game in just nine days, and fans will be hoping for a strong performance at Wembley, with questions still lingering over the club’s stadium.
Tottenham’s new stadium was supposed to be available earlier this season, but a host of delays have pushed the opening date into 2019, meaning Spurs may not play Champions League football in their new home this season.
Steady progress is being made though, and the new stadium hit another landmark today, adding an important part to the stadium ahead of its opening.
Tottenham’s famous golden cockerel, which stood on the East Stand at White Hart Lane, had been promised as a feature of the new stadium, and it has been delivered to the club’s new stadium today before being fitted onto the South Stand.

The new cockerel is a 3D scan of the original at White Hart Lane, and even includes the dent allegedly placed in the original by Paul Gascoigne, with Spurs paying great attention to detail.
Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react with great excitement at seeing such an important club item being added to the new stadium, noting that they have missed the ‘beautiful’ golden cockerel, with its return a ‘fantastic moment’ for all at Spurs.
