Tottenham Hotspur take on Aston Villa this weekend, and there could be a surprise piece of injury news for the game.

Spurs lost 2-1 to Arsenal on Sunday, and as if that wasn’t bad enough, Tottenham also suffered what appeared to be a major injury blow.

Son Heung-min pulled up with a hamstring injury in the early stages of the game, and was substituted in favour of Erik Lamela.

There were real fears that the South Korean would miss a major chunk of time, as hamstring injuries can leave players on the sidelines for weeks.

Now though, Football.London report that not only is Son expected to be back to face Newcastle United after the international break, but he could even face Villa this weekend.

That seems absolutely unbelievable, but Son is a quick healer and may have ended up being substituted against Arsenal as a precaution more than anything.

Still, Son has taken on a huge workload of late, and Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to beg Jose Mourinho not to play the winger against Villa.

Many believe that Son needs a proper break and shouldn’t be rushed back this weekend, instead urging Mourinho to leave him out even if he is fit to play after all.
