Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the arrival of Mile Jedinak as the Australian joins Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff.

Mile Jedinak has completed a surprise move to Tottenham Hotspur as he joins forces with Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham have today confirmed Postecoglou’s coaching staff following his recent move from Celtic.

Postecoglou has been unable to prise John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan away from Celtic but has landed a former Bhoy in Chris Davies.

That move has been rumoured for weeks now but the real surprise comes with a move for Jedinak.

Tottenham have announced that Jedinak is joining Tottenham as an assistant coach as he and Postecoglou reunite.

Postecoglou coached Jedinak in the Australia national team setup and even made him Socceroos captain back in 2014.

Jedinak skippered Postecoglou’s Australia at the World Cup in Brazil and he will now join the Tottenham staff ahead of the new Premier League season.

Who is new Tottenham coach Mile Jedinak?

Premier League fans will remember Jedinak from his playing days.

A defensive midfielder who had excelled for Sydney United, Central Coast Mariners and Genclerbirligi, Jedinak joined Crystal Palace in 2011.

Two years later, Jedinak secured promotion to the Premier League and captained Palace in the top flight.

Jedinak played 90 times for Palace in the Premier League before finishing up his playing career with Aston Villa in the Championship

Jedinak then turned his attention to coaching, serving as Aston Villa’s Loan Player Development Coach.

The 38-year-old has been open about his desire to progress as a coach and even praised Postecoglou in 2021, calling his way of playing ‘exciting’.

The pair will now reunite at Tottenham and Jedinak will hope to learn plenty from Postecoglou to hopefully become a manager one day.
