For whatever reason, Yves Bissouma to Tottenham Hotspur hasn’t really worked out.
For a couple of years, the Mali international was among the Premier League’s best midfielders, under Graham Potter at Brighton.
But once he got his £35 million move to Spurs, well things started going downhill.
Since joining the Lilywhites, only eight of Bissouma’s Premier League appearances have come from the starting lineup, which illustrates how Antonio Conte isn’t too sure of him.
And ironically, the player who the North Londoners tried to sign before Bissouma – Boubacar Kamara – might’ve been a better option

According to Goal, as covered by HITC Sport last year, Conte and Fabio Paratici were interested in signing the then-Marseille midfielder.
Aston Villa wound up winning the race, signing him on a Bosman – and what a brilliant piece of business that looks.
Kamara spent much of the first half of the campaign out injured but his performance in Villa’s 2-0 win at Tottenham on New Year’s Day shows that an excellent find he has been.
The 23-year-old was arguably the game’s best player – better than Bissouma for sure – and this looks like Conte and Paratici have missed out on a gem.
He could’ve just had one good game and struggle for the rest of the year under Unai Emery.
But on this evidence, Kamara looks right at home in the Premier League and Bissouma, for whatever reason, doesn’t any longer.
