Manchester United turn attention back to Leicester’s Harry Maguire – suggesting Toby Alderweireld could be staying at Spurs.

The Red Devils have turned their attention back to the Leicester City star after seeing an attempt to sign Jerome Boateng from Bayern Munich on loan rejected.
Bayern want £45million for Boateng to leave permanently, which the Premier League side are unwilling to pay, and now they are once again looking to land Maguire – who is valued at £65m.
The Foxes could be open to selling the England international as well, as they line up two more central defenders before the window shuts on Thursday (August 9) in the shape of Dinamo Zagreb’s Filip Benkovic and Caglar Soyuncu of Freiburg.

This latest development could also give a big hint that Toby Alderweireld will remain as a Tottenham Hotspur player, for the time being at least, with Spurs insisting they have still not received an offer from Old Trafford for the 29-year-old.
Of course Alderweireld could still be signed by a foreign club after Thursday – with most other transfer windows in Europe open until August 31 – but Tottenham would probably be reluctant to see this happen when they are unable to sign a replacement.
