Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for a new right wing-back.
The right flank has become a problem position for the north London club over the past 12 months or so, and now, they’re looking to bolster their ranks by signing Pedro Porro.
The Spaniard has been named as Spurs’ top target in that position, but, in our view, Spurs may just want to hold off on signing the Sporting star right now.
Indeed, there’s something going on behind the scenes that may enable Spurs to land an even better option in that position.
With Qatar Sports Investments in talks with Daniel Levy over buying a potential share in the north London club, a lucrative partnership with PSG could be in the offing. After all, QSI do also own Le Parisiens.
As we’ve seen with the likes of Olympiakos and Nottingham Forest, Udinese and Watford and many of the teams in the City Football Group, deals between two clubs with the same owners are very common, and that got us thinking, which players could Spurs pick up from PSG?
Well, every club in the world would want the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar or Kylian Mbappe, but, let’s be honest, it’s unrealistic to imagine any of those players heading to Tottenham.
You have to look at the tier below those players when looking at potential Spurs signings, and there’s one player at PSG that would certainly be of interest to Antonio Conte – and that’s Achraf Hakimi.

The Moroccan, of course, played for Conte at Inter Milan, and to say that he fit his system like a glove would be an understatement.
Hakimi was perfect in Conte’s system, fast, strong, energetic, the right-footer was electric in that Inter team.
There’s a reason Conte wanted Hakimi to sign for Spurs in the summer. He absolutely loves this player.
In fact, Conte went as far as to say that the former Borussia Dortmund man was born to play as a wing-back.
“Hakimi is a footballer with great potential, he was born to be a wing-back. He is important when attacking but must improve in defending but playing with three central defenders enhances his qualities,” Conte once said.
“He was the important investment of this transfer market, he has to keep working but he gave a good interpretation of the match. We hope he continues like this.”
Getting any player out of PSG is tough, and this deal may still be difficult, but if rumours that Levy is going to sell a share of Spurs to QSI are true, it will be much easier to negotiate this potential deal.
