Ji Dong-won scored twice for FC Augsburg against Borussia Dortmund – Spurs’ next opponents – in a 2-1 win in the Bundesliga.

A difficult week for Tottenham Hotspur ended on a relatively high note as they secured a Premier League point in a 1-1 draw against bitter North London rivals Arsenal on Saturday.
After defeats to Burnley and Chelsea, it looked as though the Gunners would compound Spurs’ misery when Aaron Ramsey gave the visitors a 16th-minute lead at Wembley.
However, Harry Kane equalised with a penalty in the second half while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to make his late spot kick count, Hugo Lloris thwarting the Arsenal striker.
A draw against Arsenal ought to provide a decent springboard for another crucial game, Tuesday night’s Champions League last-16 second leg away at Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga side’s title bid has faltered in recent weeks, their nine-point gap at the end of January having been whittled down, and on Friday, they fell to another poor result.
Ji Dong-won, one of Son Heung-min’s teammates in the South Korea national team, scored twice for FC Augsburg for a 2-1 victory against his former club and Spurs’ next opponents.

On Saturday, Bayern Munich took full advantage by winning 5-1 away at Borussia Monchengladbach, which means Bayern and Borussia are level on points (54) and the former’s goal difference is now just two less than the Schwarzgelben (Sky Sports table).
Needless to say, Dortmund’s title hopes are hanging by a thread, which could well knock the players’ confidence ahead of their European game, and bearing in mind they’re already three goals down in that one, Spurs should look to take full advantage of their opponents’ disarray.
