Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha is out of contract next summer.

Tottenham Hotspur’s poor summer transfer window, which saw them fail to bring in any new signings, means greater importance will be placed on the January transfer window.
Spurs were maybe held back by the spiralling costs of their new stadium, but to keep up their top four aspirations, they may need to back Mauricio Pochettino with new faces.
One way for Spurs to get around big transfer fees in the modern transfer market is by targeting players within the final six months of their contract, and there are a host of players who can be signed to pre-contract agreements in January.
With Michel Vorm out of contract at the end of the season and Hugo Lloris showing major deficiencies, it may be a good time for Spurs to bring in a young goalkeeper of considerable quality but also with room to grow.
Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha fits that bill, and the Albanian international is one of the players to be available on a pre-contract agreement in January given that his deal expires next summer.
Strakosha, 23, has become a star with Lazio since his 2012 move from Panionios, emerging as one of the top goalkeepers in Italy and even one of the most promising shot-stoppers in Europe.

A commanding presence and a super shot-stopper, Strakosha could be a fine successor to Lloris and initially competition for the Frenchman, offering a considerable upgrade on Vorm.
If Spurs look for other goalkeepers in the next 18 months, they will end up having to spend huge money – yet with Strakosha available for free, it’s time for them to act now and get Lloris’s successor next summer.
