Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is preparing his side to face Crystal Palace this evening.

Mauricio Pochettino has suggested to Football.London that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks could be involved this evening.

Spurs face Crystal Palace later in what will be their first match at their new home.

Tottenham are under big pressure to pick up three points, after a worryingly poor run of form recently.

Spurs have lost four of their last five Premier League matches to slide down to fourth place in the table.

But Winks’ return should increase Pochettino’s midfield options considerably, and the England international may well play some part against the Eagles.

Pochettino said: “He is going to be involved maybe on the bench. He’s in the squad.”

Winks has not featured for Tottenham since February, after he picked up an injury problem.

His absence has left Spurs short of numbers in midfield, and they are yet to win a match without him.

If Spurs could pick up a victory this evening they would help to consolidate their position in the top four.
