Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur are planning to make a bid of £40 million for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to The Telegraph.
What’s the story?
The Telegraph are reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing Traore from Premier League rivals Wolves before the summer transfer window closes next week.
The former Aston Villa winger is high on Spurs head coach Nuno’s list.
Nuno worked with the Spain international when he was the manager of Wolves.
Talks between Wolves and Traore over a new contract are not going well.
Spurs are looking to take advantage of this situation and are considering making an offer of £40 million for the 25-year-old, according to the report.

Expensive signing for Tottenham Hotspur
Traore would be an expensive signing for Tottenham.
Yes, £40 million for a player these days might not seem much – after all, Jack Grealish went to Manchester City from Aston Villa for £100 million – but it is a lot as far as Spurs are concerned.

If Spurs spend £40 million on the former Barcelona prospect, then he would become their fourth most expensive signing after Tanguy Ndombele, Cristiano Romero and Davinson Sanchez.
Would it be worth it?
Well, Spurs head coach Nuno knows Traore from their time at Wolves, and the Portuguese must feel that the winger would make his team better.
The former Middlesbrough winger has scored seven goals in 142 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
