Some Tottenham fans on social media have been wholeheartedly agreeing with Gary Neville’s comments on Gareth Bale and Dele Alli.
The Sky Sports pundit was speaking on Monday Night Football, and he gave something of a scathing review of Bale and Alli, saying that the Welshman has wound him up this season and that Alli should be doing a lot more.
“I’m not saying he has to pander to these players because to be honest with you, Gareth Bale’s wound me up all season, just watching him smile on the bench,” Neville said.
“Dele Alli, to be fair, I’ve worked with him at England. He’s a brilliant talent but he should be doing a lot more, I want a lot more from him, he’s an outstanding player.
“Deliver on a great career. There’s a reason why his career’s doing what it’s doing, it’s not just Jose Mourinho, Dele’s got to get hold of it himself.”
Neville’s passion on this matter really shone through here, and as you can imagine, Tottenham fans had plenty to say on this matter.
Unsurprisingly, many Spurs fans agreed with Neville on this view, and they took to social media to back what the pundit was saying.
Unfortunately, we can understand why Spurs fans agree with Neville on this matter, Bale and Alli haven’t made much of an impact this season, so supporters are bound to be frustrated by two big names underperforming.
