Lyon’s sporting director Juninho spoke to RMC Sport about the future of Houssem Aouar.
The French midfielder is one of the most sought out players in Ligue 1 after an impressive couple of seasons at the Groupama Stadium.
A number of Premier League clubs are said to be looking at him but Liverpool are the side who are ‘very interested’ in signing the €50 million (£44.5 million) rated man this summer. (RMC Sport)
Juninho claimed that Aouar is an integral part of Lyon’s side but he admitted that they will consider an offer, should it come, in the coming months.
He said: “Moussa (Dembele) and Houssem (Aouar) are among the best players on the team but they are different cases. Houssem is trained here, he’s been there for a long time. He brings us the technical touch that is needed in the middle.”
“But we know that most young players trained at the Houssem talent club have left at one time or another. The president will decide. If we receive proposals, we will analyze. He is an important player.”

Aouar has had a fantastic season for Lyon. The 21-year-old has scored nine goals and has provided seven assists in all competitions so far this campaign.
Liverpool’s current squad has been as good as ever but the one area where they could improve on is attacking midfield.
Aouar has scored more goals than all of Jurgen Klopp’s midfielders this season, and signing him would make Liverpool better than they are, which really is scary to their opponents.
