Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Gabriel Agbonlahor praised their efforts this season under Marcelo Bielsa.
For context, Agbonlahor made himself public enemy No.1 at Elland Road earlier in the season after aiming a number of digs at Leeds.
He even described Bielsa as a ‘myth’ at one point.
Things went so far that the club’s official Twitter account mocked him, by making a compilation of Agbonlahor’s tweets after Leeds beat his beloved Aston Villa.
Now, however, he is singing a different tune.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said Leeds have been ‘outstanding’ this season, before praising Bielsa’s management.
He said: “As much as I’ve had banter with Leeds and stuff, they’ve been outstanding. The way he [Bielsa] can do with Leeds what he’s done this season with some players that are not outstanding players… he’s getting 100% out of all of them.
“What would he do with a bigger team? What could he do if he could buy some better players for Leeds United? Where could he take them?
“If he had better centre-halves, a better left-back – Alioski has played a lot of the season. He’s been good, but what if they had a proper left-back who played the way Bielsa wanted him to?”

Now, we’re not saying that it’s wrong to change your mind over the course of the season.
However, Agbonlahor’s comments are basically the exact opposite of what he was saying earlier this season.
He clearly didn’t firmly believe in his claim that Bielsa was a ‘myth’ if he’s willing to backtrack on that statement just months later.
Perhaps that is why one supporter called him ‘spineless’ below.

In truth, the former Aston Villa striker should probably stop talking about Leeds.
After he made himself look silly with his comments earlier this term, he eventually deleted his Twitter account.
Now, even when praising them, he could’t help but aim a few backhanded compliments in there, criticising the quality of Ezgjan Alioski and also the Leeds centre-backs.
Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about Agbonlahor’s comments…
