Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a £44m move for Malcom.

Tottenham Hotspur couldn’t secure any new signings over the summer, but there are plenty of transfer rumours already swirling ahead of the January window.
Boca Juniors midfielder Wilmar Barrios is one name being heavily linked, and there is another name being touted which should excite Tottenham fans.
Catalan newspaper SPORT report that Spurs are interested in signing Barcelona winger Malcom, and have even communicated that they would be willing to pay €50million (£44million) for his signature.
The Brazilian winger starred for Bordeaux last season, hitting 12 goals and seven assists before earning a dramatic move to Barcelona, joining the club after a bid from Roma, but his time with the club has been torrid.
Malcom has completely failed to convince manager Ernesto Valverde so far, making just two appearances as a substitute for a total of 25 minutes, with Barca potentially keen to sell already in January.
The 21-year-old has been a Tottenham target twice already this year; The Telegraph reported in January that Spurs were targeting a £35million deal, which didn’t go through, before Le10 Sport noted that they re-opened talks to land him from Bordeaux over the summer before his Barca switch.

If Spurs can secure Malcom at the third time of asking, they would be securing a signing that would really excite fans after their disappointing summer, as he is an outstanding attacking talent.
Malcom has pace, real skill and dribbling ability, as well as a ferocious long shot, cutting inside from the right flank onto his left foot with great effect, which would add another threat in the final third for Mauricio Pochettino.
As far as young wingers go, Malcom is one of the most exciting in Europe, and could thrive in Pochettino’s setup, meaning Spurs should certainly press ahead with a move to finally sign him in 2019 – and leave Spurs fans ecstatic with a major coup to kick off 2019.
