Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Barcelona ace.
According to a report from Colombian media outlet Mundiario, Everton are willing to pay €50 million (£44.2 million) for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina this summer, and that price would represent a massive risk for the Toffees.
Mina, 23, impressed for Colombia at the World Cup in Russia this summer, but he is far from the finished article, and whilst he could undoubtedly turn out to be a wonderful signing for the Blues, it is questionable as to whether he is worth just over £44 million.
The centre-back joined Barca from Palmeiras in January, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £10.4 million, but he rarely featured for Ernesto Valverde’s side, making just six appearances in all competitions.

Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Mina is an old fashioned, towering centre-half. He is obviously strong in the air, and he never shirks a physical challenge.
The Colombia international seemingly has all the tools required to be a success in the Premier League, but Everton should be wary of laying out such a hefty amount in order to secure his signature.
The Toffees do have plenty of financial backing, however, so they might just feel that bringing Mina to Goodison Park is a risk worth taking.
Everton are expected to challenge for the European places this season, and in order to do just that, Marco Silva must get his summer transfer business spot on.
And only time will tell if £44.2 million on Mina turns out to be money well spent.
