Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting to a 10-second clip of Harry Winks’ last-minute volley that has gone viral on Twitter.
The midfielder’s poor effort against Everton this week has been hilariously edited with Andy Gray’s iconic commentary after Steven Gerrard’s volley against Olympiakos added to it, and it’s fair to say that Tottenham fans aren’t too impressed.
Perhaps the Spurs fanbase will come to find this clip funny in years to come, but the pain of being knocked out of the FA Cup is seemingly still stinging some supporters.
It’s fair to say that Winks’ volley wasn’t very Gerrard-esque as he dragged his last-gasp effort way wide of the goal, with the ball being closer to going out for a throw-in than ending up in the back of the net.
Understandably, Tottenham fans on social media had a few choice words after seeing this clip.
A number of fans said that they switched their televisions off when this happened, while another said that he was left speechless by the effort.
Winks went for the spectacular and it didn’t pay off, and while most football fans will see the funny side of this video, Spurs supporters don’t seem best pleased.
