The Tottenham Hotspur forward is comfortable shooting with both feet.
Tottenham star Dele Alli raved about the quality of his teammate Heung-Min Son, when speaking to reporters after his side’s fine 2-0 win away at Leicester City on Saturday, suggesting that the South Korean is a special talent, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Son, 26, joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth in the region on £18 million, and he has gone on to become a real fan favourite amongst the Tottenham faithful, chalking up 52 goals and 30 assists in 158 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The South Korea international is a vitally important player for the Lilywhites, and his ability to play anywhere along the front-line provides Mauricio Pochettino with an option that he doesn’t otherwise possess.
Dele spoke to reporters about Son’s quality, and highlighted how the fact that he is equally as comfortable with both feet is a really special talent, as quoted by the club’s official website:
“We we knew it wasn’t going to be easy and it’s at times like that you need someone to produce a little magic and Sonny certainly did that. It’s something he works on every day after training, that exact finish, coming in off the right and whipping it in. No-one was surprised when it went in. It’s a special talent. A lot of players don’t have that. A lot of players are very one-footed but Sonny is someone who can do it. It’s difficult for defenders because you don’t know which way to send him because as he showed tonight, if you put him on his left foot he can hit it sometimes better than his right, so it’s difficult.”
Next up for Tottenham is a trip to Barcelona tomorrow night for their must win Champions League clash, and if they are to have any chance of leaving the Camp Nou with maximum points, Son will surely have to be on his very best form.
