Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka says that he is a massive fan of Liverpool and Luis Suarez after being linked with a £20 million move to the Premier League champions, while speaking to 90Min.
Could Daka’s dream move soon become a reality?
With Roberto Firmino finding goals hard to come by and the sheen wearing off Divock Origi’s Champions League heroics, the feeling that Liverpool need to inject some fresh blood into their forward line is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
If the Reds decide that Daka is the man for the job, it seems unlikely that the Zambia international would decline Jurgen Klopp’s calls (Far Post).
“I’ve always been a fan of Liverpool,” said Daka, while also admitting his admiration for Barcelona.
“When we played Liverpool last season in the Champions League at Anfield (a 4-3 defeat in 2019), it was a very special moment.”
Daka is a paid-up member of the Luis Suarez fanclub, describing the modern-day Liverpool legend as a lifelong inspiration.

Comparisons have also been drawn between the £20 million-rated Daka and ex-Salzburg teammate Erling Haaland, while one of his former described the speedy striker as the ‘next Thierry Henry’.
“The other dream was to face Luis Suarez. He’s the one that impressed me the most. He has always been one of my inspirations since I was a kid,” added Daka, who has 20 goals in 23 games this season.
“Obviously, comparisons to Erling are flattering, and it’s my role to live up to them. I still have a good relationship with Erling and we are still in touch.”
