Bart Verbruggen is a player in demand, with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United linked with the Anderlecht goalkeeper.
Back in March 2023, Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws claimed that both Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and United boss Erik ten Hag have reportedly been “charmed” by Verbruggen.
Alisson is the number one goalkeeper at Liverpool, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners could do with someone younger who has the potential to develop in the coming years.
There is strong speculation that Caoimhin Kelleher will leave Anfield, while Adrian is 36 now.
David de Gea is the number one goalkeeper at Manchester United, but the Spaniard does make big mistakes.
The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper is also in talks with the Red Devils over a new deal.
And he is 32 now.
Verbruggen is just 20 years of age and has already played quite a few games for Anderlecht.

The youngster has played 17 times in the Jupiler Pro League and has played six matches in the UEFA Europa Conference League this season.
Anderlecht Under-21 goalkeepering coach Frank Boeckx has described Verbruggen as a “special” player who “has an incredible work ethic”.
Liverpool target Bart Verbruggen told not to join Manchester United
However, Belgium Under-21 assistant manager Olivier Deschacht, though, has suggested that the 20-year-old should not move to Manchester United right now and should take “an intermediate step” before going to Old Trafford.
Voetbal Belgie quotes Deschacht as saying, as translated by Sport Witness: “Manchester United is a huge step. He is better off taking an intermediate step because the pressure is huge at a club like Manchester United.
“Maybe they want him as a second goalkeeper, but a goalkeeper like Bart Verbruggen has to play mainly anyway.
“Of course, I would go if Manchester United came, which is a dream club as a footballer. Who knows, maybe Verbruggen is better than De Gea?”
