Liverpool and Aston Villa supporters were wowed by Carney Chukwuemeka’s performance after he helped his side secure the FA Youth Cup on Monday night.
In a tense encounter at Villa Park, Liverpool’s youngsters were beaten by Villa’s rising stars 2-1 – six of whom played against the Reds in the FA Cup in January.
Villa got off to a blistering start as they took a 2-0 lead in next to no time, and in truth, they should have scored more during the first period.
Liverpool’s youngsters did change the tempo of the game and created more chances in the second half, and despite pulling a goal back, those in Claret & Blue secured a fourth FA Youth Cup win.
And Chukwuemeka, who made his senior debut for Villa last week against Spurs, including coming on for a brief period against Chelsea on Sunday, left both sets of supporters applauding his performance.
Out of all the Villa youngsters, Chukwuemeka’s talents in midfield is the one that is exciting those in B6 the most.
An elegant midfielder, with the balance of a Jack Grealish and the quick-thinking ability of someone twice his age, the world is at Chukwuemeka’s feet.
There are indications that, come next season, he will play a significant role in Dean Smith’s side and it’s no surprise if that were to happen.
Until then, both Liverpool and Villa fans appreciated the talented stars performance last night:
