Liverpool fans have praised Tottenham striker Harry Kane after he beat Mohamed Salah to the Golden Boot award on Sunday.
Going into the final game of the Premier League season, both Salah and Kane were neck and neck for that much-wanted individual prize.
Both Liverpool and Spurs were involved in pressure games, with the former trying to secure Champions League football and the latter hoping to finish in the top six.
In the end, whilst Salah didn’t get on the scoresheet, he did provide Sadio Mane with an assist and helped the Reds ease past Crystal Palace.
Whilst Kane scored a crucial 23rd league goal of the season against Leicester to help Spurs into the newly-formed Euro Conference League.
It’s been a pretty remarkable campaign from Kane because, not only did he top the goalscoring charts, but he was top of the tree when it came to assists also.
From Kane’s perspective, it’s just a shame that Spurs themselves produced a poor season, which saw Jose Mourinho lose his job just before the League Cup final.
Whether Kane is at Spurs next season or not, one thing is for sure, injuries aside, he will once again be wanting to re-claim that Golden Boot prize.
And whilst the Premier League has some high-quality attackers at their disposal, no one is matching the consistency of Liverpool’s speed machine and Tottenham’s all-round performer.
