Mikel Arteta has stated that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is someone with a ‘very special personality’ at Arsenal, as he told Premier League Daily on PL Productions (18/11/21 at 10:36 am).
The Arsenal boss also added that Aubameyang is a ‘very emotional’ person but ‘not the most vocal’.
Aubameyang is the Arsenal captain after that role was handed to him by Unai Emery before his sacking.
Sometimes, with a change of manager comes a change of leadership out on that pitch, but that didn’t happen when Arteta was handed the keys to the club.
And the Spaniard spoke highly about his experienced leader up top and the type of person he is.
“He is a leader that has a very special personality,” said Arteta. “He’s very active and very emotional.
“That’s what makes happiness and that’s what makes joy. He’s not the most vocal player in the dressing room, that’s for sure.
“But he does have other attributes.”

There are a lot of youngsters, whether they have come through the academy or via the transfer market, that are in and around the first-team now.
Many of them, especially Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka, have performed exceptionally well.
But a lot of credit should also be given to the senior stars, such as Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette who have helped them settle in and grow.
At the end of the day, they are the future and if Arsenal are to get back to the top then destiny is right at their feet.
