Liverpool talent Fabio Carvalho is interested in re-joining Fulham should his loan spell at RB Leipzig be scrapped in the January transfer window.

The January window is fast approaching and whilst that means big deals, it also means loan deals being reviewed.

Premier League clubs have sent young players out on loan all over the world with the aim of playing regular first-team football.

Liverpool are no different and will be closely looking at host of their loaned-out players – including playmaker Fabio Carvalho.

Fabio Carvalho keen on leaving Liverpool for Fulham return

Carvalho was sent out on loan to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig over the summer after a quiet first season at Anfield.

The former Fulham talent only started four Premier League games last season and an influx of new midfielders meant Liverpool were happy for him to go.

The move to Germany hasn’t really worked out though as Carvalho has only started one Bundesliga game so far this season.

Carvalho just isn’t gaining the first-team minutes Liverpool want and his loan deal is now in danger of being scrapped.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Liverpool are insisting that Carvalho returns to Anfield in January even with RB Leipzig attempting to dissuade them.

The Mirror now report that Carvalho would be interested in re-joining former club Fulham if Liverpool do bring him back to Merseyside.

Carvalho came up in the Fulham ranks and hit 10 goals as well as eight assists in the 2021-22 season, earning himself the move to Liverpool.

Fulham do appear to have interest in signing Carvalho – most likely on loan – and the 21-year-old would seemingly jump at the chance to return to West London.

Hailed as a ‘special player’ by Jurgen Klopp, Carvalho clearly has big talent and potential.

It’s now 18 months since Carvalho was playing regular first-team football though and his development is stalling.

A loan move to Fulham may help Carvalho get back on track and Liverpool would surely be open to such a move in an attempt to help his development following a struggle in Germany.
