Kieran Trippier hosted a Q&A session on his Instagram story on Friday evening, during which he waxed-lyrical about Jack Grealish and Phil Foden.
The midfielders are undoubtedly two of the most talented players in the Premier League, but with Trippier being over in La Liga for the past couple of years, he’s not been able to see their development over the past 24-months first hand.
However, he has been able to see them playing in training on international duty, and it seems as though he’s been blown away by what he’s seen, proclaiming the pair to be two of the best in England.
This is high praise from a seasoned international footballer.
Trippier will have seen plenty of talented players in the England squad during his time as an international, but it seems as though Grealish and Foden are two that have caught the eye.

The right-back could have chosen the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount or even his ex-Tottenham teammate Harry Kane, but he believes that these two young midfielders are the best in the country.
The pair will certainly be battling it out for a place in Gareth Southgate’s starting XI this summer, and we certainly don’t envy the England manager for having to make that decision.
