Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Marco Silva has been speaking about Fabio Carvalho’s future amid reports he’s agreed to join Liverpool in the summer.
The midfielder is one of the most talented young players in the EFL, but, unfortunately for Fulham, his contract is up in the summer.
Understandably, his contract situation has led to plenty of speculation about his future, and according to Fabrizio Romano, he’s going to sign for Liverpool in the summer.
However, according to Silva, he’s not heard anything to suggest that Carvalho is headed to Anfield, stating that he speaks to the Fulham board every day about the player.

Silva spoke about Carvalho.
“I am speaking with our board every day and until now, I didn’t receive any news about it. If there’s something, a clause or not, with any club. For that, I don’t want to talk about rumours or if something is true or not,” Silva said.
Not done yet?
Silva seems to suggest that he’s not heard anything about Carvalho joining Liverpool, and despite reports, this deal may not be done yet.
The transfer window isn’t open and Carvalho is still under contract at Fulham, and while it’s likely that he will join Liverpool, stranger twists have occurred in the transfer window.
Of course, this may just be Silva keeping his cards close to his chest in order to not add fuel to the fire, but these comments are interesting nonetheless.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on.
