But after Jota’s loan spell at Spanish side Eibar ended, the attacker elected to stick with Brentford rather than move to Ibrox.

Rangers’ disappointing campaign has only unravelled further over the past month, highlighted by an embarrassing 4-1 hammering at Hearts.
Brentford ace Jota

The 25-year-old earned a standing ovation when he made his comeback for the Bees in the FA Cup last month, and will be feeling settled at Griffin Park.
He is back in the right place for his own career to move forward and get some stability after a tough time in Spain.
His only reason for signing for Rangers would have been to buy into former mentor Mark Warburton’s tutelage, but this would have proven a failed venture, with the manager losing his job on Friday night.
